Job Overview As the primary point of contact for our event participants, you will own the entire registration lifecycle. Your goal is to deliver a seamless, welcoming, and high-efficiency arrival experience. You will manage data, resolve system issues, and provide top-tier customer service before, during, and after our conventions. Core Responsibilities
- Manage Pre-Event Registration: Administer online portals, handle group bookings, and process exhibitor or sponsor ticket packages.
- Support Attendees: Answer inquiries regarding ticket fees, scheduling, and hotel logistics via phone and email.
- Lead On-Site Check-In: Greet guests, scan digital confirmations, process walk-up payments, and print name badges on demand.
- Distribute Event Materials: Hand out corporate swag, programs, lanyards, and directional guides smoothly.
- Maintain Data Integrity: Update database records, track real-time attendance metrics, and compile final post-event reports.
- Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Solve scanner malfunctions, resolve payment platform errors, and handle registration discrepancies quickly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1–3 years in event registration, hospitality, or administrative customer service.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with event software (e.g., Cvent) and Microsoft Excel.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills with a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Organization: Sharp attention to detail to minimize data entry or printing errors.
- Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs of event materials.
Event Registration Specialist:These professionals manage the attendee registration process, often using software like Cvent. Their duties can include setting up online systems, processing registrations, handling inquiries, maintaining records, coordinating materials like badges, and managing the on-site registration desk.
