Luna Park in Coney Island is looking for a creative, energetic, and trend-driven Social Media Intern to support the creation of engaging digital content for one of New York's most iconic entertainment destinations. The position focuses primarily on capturing park experiences and creating dynamic short-form video content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone passionate about social media, storytelling, video production, entertainment, and digital trends. The ideal candidate is highly creative, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and excited to help showcase the energy and guest experience of Luna Park through compelling visual content.

Central Amusement International Inc. (CAI) is an amusement park development and management company based in New York City. CAI developed Victorian Gardens at Wollman Rink in Central Park in 2003 and Luna Park in Coney Island in 2010, located at the birthplace of the amusement park industry. POSITION DETAILS

Title: Social Media Intern

Location: Luna Park in Coney Island – 1000 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11224

Department: Marketing

Schedule: Part-time / Seasonal

Work Environment: On-site

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation & Video Production

• Capture engaging photo and video content throughout the park
• Create short-form videos optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook
• Film rides, attractions, guest reactions, food offerings, events, and behind-the-scenes moments
• Support live social media coverage during special events and activations
• Identify viral trends, sounds, and formats suitable for the Luna Park brand

Editing & Creative Development

• Edit fast-paced and visually engaging videos for social media platforms
• Add captions, music, transitions, graphics, and effects aligned with current digital trends
• Use editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva, InShot, or similar tools
• Assist in brainstorming creative campaign concepts and content ideas
• Ensure all content reflects the image and quality standards of Luna Park in Coney Island

Social Media Support

• Assist with social media publishing and scheduling
• Monitor trends, engagement, and competitor activity
• Support audience engagement and community interaction initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with social media platforms and current digital trends
• Experience using editing tools and content creation software
• Basic photography and mobile video shooting skills
• Understanding of short-form storytelling and content optimization for social platforms

Creative Profile

• Strong eye for engaging visual content and storytelling
• Passion for entertainment, lifestyle, events, or amusement park environments
• Creative mindset with ability to generate content ideas proactively
• Comfortable occasionally appearing in social content if required

Additional Requirements

• Comfortable working outdoors and walking throughout the park
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays when needed
• Positive attitude, strong energy, and team-oriented mindset
• Students or recent graduates in Marketing, Communications, Media, Digital Content, or related fields preferred
