We’re looking for a Social Media intern to help support our content creation and management for multiple brands in our portfolio. This role is part-time, making it perfect for college students looking to gain experience producing content for multiple brands and platforms. They will report directly to our Marketing Coordinator and work closely with other senior leadership to develop content that is fun, on brand, and informative.

Elmo Arts manages creative and commercial spaces across Austin, including The Yard — a hub for live events, bars, and local culture. Our social media intern will help capture and share what's happening across our properties in real time.

What You'll Do Attend 2 events/week at our properties to capture content Shoot, edit, and write captions for Instagram posts and reels Manage posting and scheduling for two Instagram accounts: TheYardATX and ElmoArtATX Upload raw photo/video footage to a shared Drive for broader marketing use Meet weekly with the marketing manager for direction and event planning Work with leadership to determine entry into other social platforms (Tik Tok and LinkedIn) What We're Looking For Must be 21+ (some events are held at bars/venues with age-restricted access) Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video (Reels experience a plus) Strong, concise writing for captions and copy Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable attending evening/weekend events as needed Based in or near Austin, TX More About the Right Skills & Background Active, well-maintained personal Instagram (Reels experience a strong plus) Basic video editing skills — CapCut, InShot, Premiere Rush, or similar Comfortable being on-camera occasionally, and behind the camera consistently Good eye for lighting, framing, and capturing moments quickly in busy/social settings Clear, casual writing voice — captions should sound human, not corporate Organized enough to manage two accounts, a posting schedule, and file uploads without much oversight Marketing, communications, journalism, film, or related coursework is a plus but not required College student schedule welcomed — role is well-suited to part-time academic-year availability Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
