In recent years, the Convention Center has averaged nearly 200 events, including 115 conventions and tradeshows that attract more than 2 million attendees to the region each year.
General Functions
Responsible for coordinating the efforts of the sales department. This position requires a significant amount of interaction between Account Executives, Event Managers industry partners and internal departments. Work is performed under the general direction of the Director of Sales and is reviewed for accuracy, efficiency and achievement of desired results.
Representative Duties/Assignments
- Handles incoming calls and qualifies business requests for the Center.
- Assists with placing new business on the books and creating account information
- Research new tradeshow and meetings that have potential business opportunities for the Center.
- Assists sales team with site inspections.
- Works on sales accounts for Mayoral, County and local events as assigned by the Director.
- Assist with the creation and preparation of sales proposals.
- Meets with clients and provides site visits of the Convention Center.
- Assists Account Executives in preparing for client meetings, presentations and tours.
- Meets The Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited institution. Proof of enrollment will be required if you are selected for an internship

Salary Information
Pay Grade: 406 - From $16.40 to $16.95 FLSA Status: Placement based on Education and Experience
