Ithaca College is hiring Physical Therapy Teaching Assistants for the Fall 2026 semester. What you'll do

  • Assist with lab instruction, demonstrate techniques, and answer student questions for courses including Musculoskeletal II: Spine, Soft Tissue Examination, Applied Biomechanics, Neuroscience, and Wellness & Prevention.
  • Independently supervise open lab sessions for students to practice skills.
  • Participate in practical exams, oral exams, and grading processes.
  • Assist with the coordination, transportation, and setup of specialized equipment for pediatric labs and off-campus experiences.
  • Support course coordinators with content development, grading assignments, and maintaining lab materials.

What you'll need

  • Current enrollment as a DPT student in good academic standing.
  • A grade of B+ or better in the specific course you are applying to assist.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Strong self-motivation, punctuality, and initiative.
  • A passion for clinical reasoning and the specific subject matter of the course.
