Ithaca College is hiring Physical Therapy Teaching Assistants for the Fall 2026 semester. These roles involve supporting various courses within the Physical Therapy program by assisting in labs, supervising open lab sessions, and helping with course administration. This is a paid position with a rate of $16.00 per hour.
What you'll do
- Assist with lab instruction, demonstrate techniques, and answer student questions for courses including Musculoskeletal II: Spine, Soft Tissue Examination, Applied Biomechanics, Neuroscience, and Wellness & Prevention.
- Independently supervise open lab sessions for students to practice skills.
- Participate in practical exams, oral exams, and grading processes.
- Assist with the coordination, transportation, and setup of specialized equipment for pediatric labs and off-campus experiences.
- Support course coordinators with content development, grading assignments, and maintaining lab materials.
What you'll need
- Current enrollment as a DPT student in good academic standing.
- A grade of B+ or better in the specific course you are applying to assist.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Strong self-motivation, punctuality, and initiative.
- A passion for clinical reasoning and the specific subject matter of the course.
