Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):
STUDENT WORKER PROGRAM ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
- Assist in development and implementation of BA or MA program activities and initiatives.
- Assist in development and implementation of program surveys.
- Assist in coordination and organization of program activities, including Psychology Psi Chi
- Assist in creation of multiple databases related to BA or MA program.
- Assist course instructors in documenting and assessing PEC requirements and grading
- Assist faculty and program leadership in multiple administrative aspects of the BA or MA program.
- Assist faculty and BA/MA students in research activities and initiatives, including extramural funding proposals.
- Assist faculty and administrators in maintaining BA or MA program administrative coherence.
Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: MA degree in clinical psychology or equivalent; ideal candidate is enrolled in doctoral study in clinical psychology
Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17 HR
Period of employment: Begin Date: 9/2026 End Date: 5/2027
Evaluation procedures and schedules: HOURS PER WEEK: variable WEEKS PER ACADEMIC YEAR: 30 (Fall and Spring semester)
