Student Worker Band Program

The student worker provides support to the band program by organizing, cataloging, and maintaining music library materials. This position assists the Band Conductor with the management of printed music, scores, and related library resources to ensure efficient access and organization of the band's music collection. This position will be 2-4 hours per week.

• Sort, organize, and file music and scores as assigned by the Band Conductor
• Maintain and update the band music library
• Create and manage an electronic spreadsheet inventory of the Jazz Band music library
• Assist with cataloging and tracking music holdings
• Organize performance and rehearsal materials for easy access and use
• Perform basic clerical and data-entry tasks related to library management
• Assist with other band library projects as assigned by the Band Conductor

• Current enrolled IWCC student in good standing
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Reliable, dependable, and able to maintain accurate records
• Interest or experience in music, band, or performing arts
• Familiarity with sheet music, scores, and ensemble organization

• Ability to lift and move boxes of music and library materials up to 20 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods as needed
