Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):
STUDENT WORKER TEACHING ASSISTANT PHD PSYCHOLOGY
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent sessions weekly
- Provide experiential activities in sessions that illustrate various principles of the material taught
- Provide assignments that enhance doctoral students' knowledge
- Meet with individual students to establish competency in meeting profession standards
- Assist instructor connected with the PhD course in class activities and laboratory exercises
- Provide support for PhD students enrolled in the course
Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: MA degree in clinical psychology or equivalent; extensive experience with doctoral level courses; ideal candidate is enrolled in doctoral study in clinical psychology
Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17 HR
