Cascade Springs Nature Conservancy is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to soncerving nature and strengthening communities for a resilient future. CSNC stewards the 125-acre Cascade Springs Nature Preserve in Southwest Atlanta and serves as a gateway to the larger 15,000-acre Utoy Creek Urban Forest - one of the region's most significant urban forest systems. CSNC advances an equitable sustainability model that integrates research, conservation, education, and community engagement to build human, social, environmental, and economic capital in historically Black communities that have stewarded this landscape for generations.
The intern will support implementaiton during a pivotal moment for the CSNC, with a primary focus on World Cup-related activation and Year 1 feasibility planning for the Atlanta Nature Center Initiative. During summer 2026, CSNC will be preparing for increased national and international visibility associated with the FIFA World Cup. The intern will play a hands on role in coordinating site activiation, wayfinding implementation, visitor readiness, and community-facing events at Cascade Springs Nature Preserve, working directly with CSNC leadership, City of Atlanta staff, and partner organizations. The intern will also contribute to Year 1 of the Atlanta Nature Center feasibility process, supporting initial assessment, stakeholder engagement, environmental and impact considerations, preliminary design coordination, and early fundraising preparation.
This intern will work primarily from the SCoRE offices, which is accessibe via MARTA. Some work will be done at the Nature Preserve, also accessible via MARTA but a car is preferable.
