About the role
Group Assistants (GA) act as support staff to Summer Environmental Educators by assisting in small group management, activity set up, activity clean up and other tasks necessary to run successful and safe summer day camp programs. Group Assistants will not be responsible for managing a group of children on their own. Groups will typically include 12-15 children, divided into 2 age groups of 7-12 year olds.
Training in daily schedules, staff expectations, emergency procedures, and working with youth will be provided. Group Assistants will be ready to start work at 9:00am and will finish by 1:15pm each scheduled day.
