About the role
A nod to the glamour and exuberance of decades past, the New York-based label takes its name from a melding of synonyms for "vintage" and "party." Enlivened with "more-is-more" energy, Retrofête blurs the line between day and night, creating a life-of-the-party aesthetic within each design. The iridescence of the sequins, modern meets vintage denim, and sophisticated silk silhouettes—each detail elevates a feeling of nostalgia with a fashion forward take on confident and sexy styles. Responsibilities: Preparing for and Assisting in the fittings Tracking the samples and logging them into the system Garment spec'ing efficiently and accurately Facilitating the timely sample, fabric and trim approvals and other components to support on time deliveries Updating tech packs for production Communicating daily with overseas factories to follow up, answer questions and problem solve Running errands to garment district as needed
Requirements Requirements: Preferably Tech design major, Fashion Design major is also good knowledge of womenswear and/or menswear garment construction, pattern making Attention to detail, strong organizational and problem solving skills Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite proficient Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment Adaptability to wear different hats to finish projects Positive, friendly, can-do attitude, willingness to learn Animal lover (we have an office puppy!) Must be authorized to work in the US Daily rate depends on the experience
