Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Seahawk Club internship is designed to expose the individual to all aspects of DI college athletics, in particular those related to athletic fundraising and associated donor events. Reporting to the Director of the Seahawk Club, this position will assist the full-time Seahawk Club staff in a variety of ways to help grow membership numbers and properly steward current members.

Seahawk Club:

  • Assist in outbound membership solicitation via different prospect lists
  • Help with non-renewal calls/solicitations for 110% campaign
  • Field customer service questions/concerns with regards to membership and season tickets
  • Assist entire staff with setup and overall execution of various Seahawk Club events

Student Seahawk Club (Student Donor Society):

  • Discover, cultivate, and solicit new members for the Student Seahawk Club
  • Be an active presence on campus during orientations, student services fairs, and other promotional opportunities as they present themselves
  • Aid in the retention efforts of current Student Seahawk members
  • Manage membership table and various promotions during specified home contests
  • Assist the Associate Director of Development in the group's marketing and solicitation efforts through various social media outlets
  • Help develop and execute new initiatives and ideas to increase membership

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Must be highly dependable, flexible, and available to work evenings and weekends
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Work effectively as a team member
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
