Responsibilities
Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to this position. Participate in scheduled meetings, in‑service training, and team decisions as needed. Maintain Compass Connections' professional and ethical standards of conduct, including respect for agency staff, children, and community members, and comply with the required dress code at all times. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations. Communicate effectively and professionally, by phone and face‑to‑face, with agency staff, vendors, community members, and regulatory and contract personnel.
Compile, prepare, submit, and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics, and additional information in accordance with agency policies, licensing, and/or contract requirements. Implement Compass Connections safety protocol, including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed or requested by the supervisor.
Maintain a comprehensive documentation system and retrieve training records as required. Develop, prepare, and maintain documentation of training processes, tracking systems, and other training protocols. Receive, track, and document training completion for all staff promptly. Utilize internal data systems to identify training non‑compliance. Utilize internal software and applications for electronic filing and maintain training documentation in the employee training binder. Assist with both internal and external documentation audits. Complete timely and accurate documentation or training in accordance with agency policies, procedures, contract, and regulatory requirements and standards. Meet all deadlines required by the program supervisor and federal partners.
Foster Care Programs: Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferred)
- First aid, CPR, and Emergency Behavior Intervention certifications
- Two (2) or more years of related experience and/or training (required); four (4) or more years preferred
- Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment
- Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request
- Pass a pre‑employment and biennial criminal background check
- Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics
- Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers, and professionals
- Organize and prioritize responsibilities and duties efficiently
- Work effectively and without intensive supervision, both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain emotional control and professional composure in a fast‑paced environment
- Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures
- English (United States). The ability to read, write, and speak English is required
- Provide annual influenza vaccination or obtain a medical or religious exemption in accordance with CDC recommendations
