Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 11 procedure rooms (5 cath, 4 EP, 2 hybrid OR)
• Patient Ratios: 1 patient to 3 staff
• Unit staffing description: Cath/EP Techs, Cath/EP RNs
• Type of equipment: GE and Philips xray systems, Volcano IVUS/FFR, Merge Hemo
• Documentation system: Merge Hemo and Meditech
• Floating policy: Only float to prep and recovery

Patient Experience Requirements

2 years minimum

Hospital Specifics - Certifications

• Techs: RCIS, RCES, or RT(R), ACLS, BLS

Required Skills

Must have: - Techs: Scrub and monitor cath lab and/or EP procedures - RNs: Monitor and circulate cath lab and/or EP procedures

Advanced skills needed: - BLS and ACLS - Cath Lab and/or EP Lab experience

Procedures Performed on Unit

Cath Lab: - Diagnostic, PCI, Rotoblator, Laser atherectomies, ECMO, TAVR, MitrClips, Watchman, IVUS, FFR, complex PCI, CTO, Shockwave, Penumbra

EP Lab: - EP studies, pacemakers, ICD, ablations (no cryo ablations), micra pacemakers, loop recorders, lead extractions to include laser lead extractions
