About the role
Role
Serve as a Summer Legal Intern in the SGLA - SCOR Global Life Americas Law Department working with SGLA Attorneys to advise and support SGLA's business in North and South America and collaborate with our parent and affiliate companies globally.
Key Accountabilities
- Under the supervision of SGLA Attorneys, engage with our business clients, understand their business needs and risks and proactively work with them to reach solutions in a cost-effective manner.
- Complete legal and compliance research and projects as requested.
- With SGLA attorneys and compliance professionals work with business lines on specific projects.
- Update and maintain various legal data bases.
- Provide feedback on the program and offer suggestions for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing Juris Doctorate degree.
- Enrolled and in good standing in an accredited law school.
- Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Required Skills & Experience
- Must be interested in working in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment with professionals from multiple disciplines, including treaty, actuarial, finance, operations and sales and marketing.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments and projects simultaneously to timely completion.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range for roles performed in NC: $22.00-$24.00 per hour. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long term incentives. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement saving plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
