The Mundy Companies, a Leader In The Industrial Maintenance, Services, And Construction Fields, Is Currently Hiring The Following For a Long-term Position In The Houston, Texas Area
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Reads work order, shipping order, or requisition order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand, hand truck, or forklift
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, color, or product code
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and other stock items
- May also distribute tools
- Records materials or items received and distributed
- May be responsible for inventory and inventory control
- May be required to load or unload materials from trucks, trailers, or rail cars
- May be required to manually package 80 lb bales of rubber into various containers
- Work in warehouse/finishing building in high and low temperature environments
- Work 12 hour rotating shifts (6AM-6PM rotating days/nights, including holidays and weekends
Requirements
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required.
