What you´ll build

  • Maintain and enhance internal applications and dashboards, ensuring stability, performance, and ongoing feature development across multiple technologies
  • Support automation of reporting workflows for executive-level presentations and portfolio insights, bridging technical development with business needs
  • Contribute to data integration projects connecting multiple internal platforms and business systems across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Develop and maintain APIs for cross-platform data exchange
  • Participate in cloud deployments, version control processes, and collaborative development practices includes frontend, backend, and data engineering tasks

What you bring

  • Master Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Data Science or Business Informatics
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, Python who is very good at both Frontend and Backend Development (will be accessed through coding round)
  • Experience with automation, data processing, and API-based system integrations
  • Advanced data wrangling using Python, SQL, Excel, Able to build cloud native applications and data pipelines
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, SAP BTP), CI/CD and Important to have experience with GitHub
  • Ability to work with large datasets and extract actionable insights
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptability
  • Fluency in English (German advantageous)
  • Work closely with stakeholders and PMs to improve portfolio data visualization for strategic decision-making
  • This position requires the applicant to be onsite at the SAP Walldorf campus three times per week

Nice to have:

  • Initial experience / knowledge of Agile ways of working
  • Experience building automation pipelines for reporting and data processing.
  • Demonstratable experience regarding executive level reporting and/or communication material
  • Existing experience as a student/intern within associated SAP LoBs
  • Existing Experience with SAP ERP systems / analytic offerings

Where you belong

You will be part of the core SAP IT Portfolio Team, assisting in management of the IT Portfolio within CPIT. While fostering a business perspective of the IT organization you will establish strong relationships with key stakeholders within the IT Portfolio Community and support the IT Portfolio Team via generation of data-based analysis, targeted C-suite level communication and implementation of SAP technologies for internal consumption.
