Monday-Friday, Day Shift; Part Time: may be 4 hours for 5 days or 2 8-hour days with 1 4-hour day.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary

Under the direct supervision, the Youth Educator/Advocate assists in educating and advocating for high risk youth in relation to the objectives of a specific program.

Required Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience

  • 1+ years of experience working with youth and providing peer education
  • Knowledge of issues relating to specific program (substance use prevention and youth advocacy)

Preferred

  • Previous experience working with High School students
  • Experience in developing and delivering substance use prevention materials

Education/Licensure/Certifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
