At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. Regeneron is currently seeking multiple 2027 Co-ops in Upstream Bioprocessing & Cell Culture Development (IOPS) to join Regeneron Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) Process Sciences department. This group develops and runs the manufacturing-scale processes used to grow and purify Regeneron's commercial biologic products.

When & where:

Location: Rensselaer, NY (Temple Lane / East Greenbush)

Timeframe: Our Co-op positions are full-time and onsite from January-August (Spring-Summer), May/June-December (Summer-Fall), and August-December (Fall).

Pay: Intern and Co-op pay ranges are determined by level of education (year in school) and degree program. The hourly rate range for these locations is: $17.90-$25.50 per hour.

What you'll do:

  • Support upstream and manufacturing-support teams that grow and optimize Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell cultures used to produce medicines at commercial scale
  • Run lab-scale bioreactor experiments studying how process parameters affect cell culture performance
  • Conduct media and feed optimization studies
  • Investigate cell biology under stress conditions using multiomics methods
  • Support development of a biomarker panel that predicts and monitors cell line performance risk
  • Perform mammalian cell culture using aseptic technique
  • Conduct quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) assay development and data interpretation
  • Document experimental procedures and results

  • Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree (and be returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position)
  • Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week from January-August, May/June-December, or August-December
  • Demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or within the community preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
