Role Overview The New York Life Investments Management (NYLIM) Commercial Real Estate Internship Program is designed for rising juniors and seniors interested in commercial real estate investment management. Interns may gain exposure to debt and equity investments, operations, research, and client solutions. Based in New York City (NY), the 10-week paid internship begins June 2027.

Participants will take part in business overviews, leadership presentations, training, networking, and a collaborative summer project. Our program includes training and development seminars, networking opportunities, social events, and a collaborative summer internship project culminating in an opportunity to be considered for a full-time rotational analyst role. By the end of the internship, you'll have developed valuable business skills, expanded your professional network, and gained meaningful experience to help launch your career.

What You'll Do Depending on your assigned team, your responsibilities may include: \* Prepare and maintain financial reports, investment analyses, portfolio reporting, Excel models, and presentations. \* Conduct commercial real estate, capital markets, economic, industry, and investment research. \* Collect, validate, analyze, and organize data using internal systems and external research sources. \* Support portfolio monitoring by reviewing borrower, property, loan, or investment information and updating records. \* Contribute to materials for investment, portfolio management, capital markets, and other business meetings. \* Assist with investor reporting, presentations, case studies, requests for proposals, and business development initiatives. \* Support process improvement, data quality, reporting efficiency, technology, or artificial intelligence projects. \* Collaborate across the Real Estate organization and present findings or recommendations at the end of the internship.

Qualifications \* Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related discipline. \* Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate, investments, asset management, or related fields. \* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. \* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools such is a plus. \* Intellectual curiosity, a willingness to learn, and an interest in leveraging technology, data, and emerging AI tools to improve business processes and decision-making. Salary Range: $27 / hour Overtime eligible: Nonexempt Discretionary bonus eligible: No Sales bonus eligible: No Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
