About the role
The Transportation Intern is “hosted” by the Fleet Operations Department at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities, or headquarters. The identified candidate will start their internship May 24, 2027 and end July 30, 2027 at our Buford, Georgia Distribution Center.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Fleet Operations Manager with:
- Procurement of all contracted truckload, expedited and intermodal transportation
- Outbound truckload transportation
- Ensuring carrier selection is made according to the needs of the sites, quality of service, cost and commitments.
- Engage in early career development programming, including workshops, info sessions, and networking opportunities through the GSC Program Team

Minimum Requirement
- Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program
- Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Operations, (e.g Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, Logistics with concentration in related Operations field, etc).
- Have previous Sherwin-Williams Internship or Co-op experience
- Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
- Be a rising or current junior or senior in college or university at the start of the internship program
