2028 Capital Markets Advisory: Ratings Advisory Summer Analyst Program – New York
The Evercore New York Summer Ratings Advisory Analyst Program is a 10-week intensive program designed to provide highly motivated students with a representative experience in evaluating credit profiles and developing credit rating and capital structure strategies for a variety of mandates including strategic alternatives, mergers & acquisitions, and complex financing execution assignments. These mandates are typically executed on behalf of public and private companies, management teams or alternative institutional investors. The Credit Ratings team sits within Private Capital Markets and specializes in advising companies and sponsors on credit rating strategy, rating agency positioning, transaction implications and ratings outcomes. The Program seeks intelligent, mature individuals with the desire and flexibility to work in a boutique environment and learn on the job. In addition, Summer Analysts must demonstrate the ability to work on several projects concurrently and possess the desire to learn and work hard.
As part of the Program, Summer Analysts will work on a variety of assignments that span the breadth of Evercore’s product and service offerings. As part of the Ratings Advisory team, Summer Analysts will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: (i) supporting the execution of credit rating advisory mandates, including preparing rating materials and supporting the rating agency due diligence process, (ii) developing views on rating agency trends and sector-specific credit considerations and preparing materials supporting such views for internal Evercore and external client presentations, (iii) evaluating capital structure and transaction alternatives, including analyzing financial, leverage and credit rating implications, (iv) financial modeling and historical and projected financial statement analysis, leverage and coverage analysis, peer benchmarking and rating scenario analysis, (v) closely coordinating with industry and M&A bankers, as well as other product functions at Evercore, including Activism / Defense, ECM, Restructuring, Tax Advisory and others, on holistic capital structure advisory mandates. Summer Analysts work as part of small teams and have close contact with client contacts as well as senior level bankers and partners within the firm.
