About the job

Job Summary

About the Role

Canteen is looking for a detail-driven Accounting Coordinator to be a financial backbone, supporting our OCS and Vending operations. This is a role for someone who loves precision, thrives on problem-solving, and enjoys being the connective tissue between warehouse, field, and administrative teams — keeping our numbers accurate and our operations running smoothly. Please note: This is a Tuesday thru Saturday schedule (work from home on Saturdays!)

What You'll Do

  • Perform detailed warehouse and inventory reconciliations across OCS and Vending operations
  • Review, validate, and maintain financial records to support accurate, timely reporting
  • Investigate cash shortages/overages, inventory variances, and warehouse discrepancies — partnering with operations to find root causes and solutions
  • Create customer orders and process invoices; support accounts receivable through payment tracking, reconciliations, and follow-up
  • Assist with accounts payable functions, ensuring transactions are properly documented per company policy
  • Execute and maintain product pricing updates for OCS and Vending categories
  • Troubleshoot vending machines with credit card readers; coordinate installations, removals, and service requests with field and technical teams
  • Partner daily with warehouse personnel, route drivers, and field operations to resolve cash handling, billing, inventory, and equipment issues
  • Complete data entry, maintain documentation, and support internal and external audit activities
  • Safeguard sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies

What We're Looking For

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, AP/AR, reconciliation, or operational support preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP
  • Comfort working with vending technology, credit card readers, and basic equipment troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across warehouse, field, and administrative teams
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and work independently in a deadline-driven environment
