About the role
Responsibilities
- Supports the accounting team by collecting, reconciling, seeking approval, and processing general vendor payments through PCL business systems as requested, in a timely and accurate manner to meet payment terms and conditions.
- Understands and complies with all labor provider agreements, government legislation, PCL policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Prepares bank deposits and subsequent cash receipt entries where required.
- Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
- Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
- Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline preferred.
- The successful candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Basic skills using Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge and/or experience with accounting software an asset.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver's License.
- Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August.
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
