Job Description:

This is a summer internship position working with the mmWave module design team at MACOM’s Northampton, MA Center of Excellence.  The candidate will be exposed to a variety of engineering documentation relating to testing, analyzing and improving aerospace modules during their internship.

Examples include:

• Work with experienced mechanical designers to create full manufacturing documentation packages for complex electromechanical assemblies.
• Create internal drafting standards from verbal instructions.
• Update non-compliant drawings.
• 3D Modeling using SolidWorks from rudimentary sketches or verbal instruction.
• 2D Drafting using SolidWorks adhering to ASMEY14.5 and internal MACOM standards from rudimentary sketches or verbal instruction.
• Keeping up to date and maintaining passion for the latest advances in engineering documentation.
• Advocate for Drafting as a function and core competency within the company.
