Job Description:
Internship candidates will report to the Assistant Athletics Director for Communications. Duties include, but are not limited to, gameday obligations of assigned sports (in-game statistics, in-game social media, distribution of stats, photography and graphic creation, etc.), may include copywriting (player bios, press releases, editing and record keeping). Share stories of our student-athletes and athletic programs. Individuals may be considered for an assistant contact role for select sport(s). In addition, this position may include responsibilities in maintaining GoZips.com, the department's official website, and the University's various athletics related social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.).

Interns receive real-time practical experience many areas of the Athletic Department as a communications or media relations specialist utilizing a multifaceted approach in several areas such as storytelling, journalism, statistics, game management, record keeping, photography, graphic and social media creation. Maintain brand awareness and promote UA athletic programs and UA student-athletes. Interns may also be issued athletic department attire.
