INTERNSHIPS
The Staten Island Zoo is committed to providing an exceptional learning experience for our interns while continuing to provide a high level of care for our animals. With a close staff to intern ratio, interns are a part of the Zoo family.
Must currently be in enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program or recently graduated.
Interns are required to work 3 full days per week. College credit can be received depending on the school. Interns receive a stipend for their time.
Internships are available in:
- Animal Care
- Veterinary Hospital
- Wildlife Education
- Administration (2 Days Per Week)
- Communications & Digital Marketing
- Environmental Science Communications
- Photo Archives & Digital Asset Management
APPLICATION DEADLINES
- October 1 For Spring Internship - January Start Date
- March 1 For Summer Internship - June Start Date
- June 1 For Fall Internship - September Start Date
