Position Description
The University of South Dakota Assistant Softball Coach – Pitching is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of managing a NCAA Division I softball program including but not limited to: recruitment, development and everyday training of all members of a pitching staff; assisting with training and development in other areas of team/players on and off the field; liaison for academics and other departments on campus; assisting with camp and clinics, and administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree required, master's preferred
- Applicants must have knowledge of a collegiate softball program, preference given to those who have D1 experience
- Preferred to have knowledge of Rapsodo, Synergy or other technology to assist in development
- Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Must have the ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision and the flexibility to travel, work weekends and evenings when necessary
