What You’ll Actually Do
- Participate: Engage in a structured on-the-job training program to become familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
- Support: Become familiar with BDO’s specific audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
- Assist: Provide various support functions to the audit staff during engagement activities.
- Communicate: Interact with clients’ customers, creditors, banks, and related parties concerning audit issues.
- Document: Prepare and organize work in working papers using BDO specific tools and templates.
The Must-Haves
- Background: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting, with an entry-level career focus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bonus: Pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting; leadership experience; actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow instructions as directed; ability to work effectively in a team setting; positive attitude and willingness to learn.
