Interns work 5 days a week in a Wipfli office or at client sites, which may vary locally, regionally, or nationally depending on the industry. Scheduled meetings require in-person attendance.
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated base pay rate for this role is \*\*$31.50/hour\*\*. Actual compensation at time of offer considers factors like location, skills, experience, training, licensure, and business needs. What You’ll Do
Interns use their educational background to perform accounting-related responsibilities, such as:
- Responding to client and firm requests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
- Gathering necessary information from clients for document completion
- Using data analysis to discover useful patterns and support recommendations
- Proactively identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency
Audit
- Specific Duties:
- Perform audit, review, and compliance testing in line with firm and professional standards, under guidance from engagement leaders
- Communicate openly with engagement leaders about open items, testing issues, or other important matters
- Prepare or review financial statements, footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs
- Develop technical competency with GAAP, especially as related to your assigned product line

Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (completion of a corporate or individual taxation class is required)
- Above-average accounting knowledge, demonstrated by college GPA (3.0 or higher preferred)
- Working toward eligibility to sit for the CPA exam after graduation
- Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data
- Ability to think independently and make sound decisions based on education and experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and staff
- Capability to prioritize tasks, follow through, take initiative, and meet deadlines
