Automation Engineering Intern

Automation Engineering Intern Location: Glenview, IL Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America (AKBA) is seeking a motivated Automation Engineering Intern to support the design, development, and testing of automation systems and software used in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. What You'll Do: Assist in developing and testing PLC, SCADA, and custom software applications. Support automation hardware configuration, troubleshooting, and system commissioning.

Contribute to web-based application development using JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and SQL. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and develop innovative solutions. Gain hands-on experience with industrial automation technologies, including Rockwell Automation and FactoryTalk.

What We're Looking For: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Interest in industrial automation, programming, and software development. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.

The base compensation range for this role is $18-20/hour. Base
