Position Summary
The Bookkeeping Intern will support the finance team with daily accounting and administrative tasks while gaining hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and business operations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry of financial transactions.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Organize and maintain financial records.
- Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Support month-end closing activities.
- Assist with payroll documentation as needed.
- Complete general administrative and special project assignments.
Qualifications
Required
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Preferred
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related program.
- Previous office or customer service experience.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
