About the job

As a Business and Economic Development Intern, you will be introduced to projects that deal specifically with governance, market research, and human and infrastructure development. Further, Business-Econ interns will be placed into a collaborative and cross-disciplinary environment to cultivate teamwork and an ability to discuss different fields related to business and economics. In this environment, Business-Econ interns will be expected to undertake responsibilities that include economic and social policy research, and analysis for data collection purposes. These projects will increase the awareness of the business-economic intern to be aware of the political, economic, and socio-cultural experience in developing nations.

About the She Grows It internship program:

We are a company seeking to build up the next generation of international leaders for development and diplomatic assistance. We want to find individuals who also uphold values that coincide with our commitment to impacting the world and it’s people in a positive manner. Interns that join SGI will engage in research on topics related to agricultural development, business practices, and policy centred on environmental and economic sustainability.

At SGI, we are seeking enthusiastic interns to commit to our 90 or 120 day internship program from August 2022. During that time, interns will work alongside leading experts in both government and academia that share diverse and global perspectives. Interns will also take on leadership roles with supervisory support that harness the potential of our interns to address key issues in food security, environmental health, and economic growth. The overall mission of this internship at SGI is to provide students, or recent graduates, with a professional learning opportunity that offers meaningful and practical work experience related to their field of study or career choice. In order to accomplish this, our interns will commit to a minimum of 15 hours a week, with flexibility around scheduling.
