Schedule:PRN rotating
- Assists the EEG Technologist with preparing patients and equipment for routine EEG procedures.
- Under supervision, assists with applying and connecting EEG electrodes according to established protocols.
- Provides basic patient instructions and promotes patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Observes EEG procedures and assists the technologist with obtaining quality recordings and troubleshooting equipment as directed.
- Assists with cleaning, maintaining, and stocking EEG equipment and supplies according to department procedures.
- Reviews and follows applicable infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality practices.
- Learns to recognize and report abnormalities or technical issues to the supervising EEG Technologist.
- Performs assigned EEG-related tasks under the supervision and direction of a qualified EEG Technologist.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Education:
- High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
- Must be current student of Neurodiagnostic Technology programs.
