Company Management

The Company Managementinterns act as a welcoming guide and essential point of contact for world-class artists during their ADF experience. This internship works closely with ADF’s Project Manager to provide hands-on support for visiting dance companies and Footprints choreographers during their residencies. A core part of the role involves artist transportation and planning their time at ADF—welcoming dancers and choreographers at the airport and transporting them to their hotel, driving them to rehearsals and events, and ensuring they arrive where they need to be on time and without stress. The internship also assists with administrative tasks, facilitates communication between artists, production crew, and ADF departments, and steps in wherever needed to help keep the festival running smoothly.This internship is perfect for dependable, people-focused multi-taskers who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy staying active and engaged throughout the festival. It’s a demanding role that requires energy, adaptability, and a love of being “on-call” to support artists and staff. Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Word/Excel is required. Flexibility is essential, as the schedule includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Must be 21 or over with a valid driver’s license and full access to a car.

• Tickets: Administrative interns receive one complimentary ticket to each program in the ADF season, which features performances by the top dance companies from around the world.
• Discussions: Administrative interns may attend panel discussions with artists and scholars, seminars, lectures, and informal showings throughout the summer.
• Academic Credit: Please contact your university’s career center for this information. ADF will fill out any necessary forms for the completion of credit.
• Stipend: All administrative interns receive a stipend. Some stipends are adjusted according to length of internship. Housing assistance available.
