Audubon’s Latin America and Caribbean program in Colombia invites university students interested in strengthening their knowledge and experience in field research, biodiversity monitoring, and conservation.
This internship supports Audubon’s conservation and community-based projects in Colombia, providing hands-on experience in field research, biodiversity monitoring, and sustainable practices that benefit birds and local communities.
Internship Information:
- Length of Assignment: January 2027 – July 2027
- Hours: 40 hours per week
This role is remote in Colombia with some fieldwork required.
Compensation:
COP 2,000.000 monthly

Additional Job Description
Essential Functions
Selected interns will support projects related to:
- Supporting field data collection and on-the-ground research activities
- Conducting literature reviews and organizing ecological data.
- Assisting in the promotion of bird-friendly and environmentally sustainable productive practices
- Support on the application process for different grants.
- Supporting operational and administrative processes of conservation projects
- Maintaining and fostering a culture of safety.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Be an active student in biology, ecology, environmental management, or a related field at a Colombian university, with an internship required as part of the degree program.
- Interest in field research and bird conservation.
- Remote with some fieldwork required
- English proficiency is preferred.
