What You'll Do In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting controls engineering project work while gaining exposure to the responsibilities of a full-time engineering consultant. You'll work alongside Controls Engineers, senior engineering consultants, cross-functional project teams, vendors, contractors, and OEMs to assist with design, programming, troubleshooting, installation, start-up, and commissioning activities. This position plays an important role in helping clients improve manufacturing performance, giving you the opportunity to apply classroom learning to real industrial automation projects while strengthening your technical, problem-solving, and consulting skills.

Support capital projects and assist Controls Engineers with automation, programming, and implementation activities Apply engineering design knowledge and technical problem-solving skills to manufacturing and controls challenges Assist with design, procurement, installation, start-up, commissioning, and related project activities under senior consultant mentorship Support design, programming, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery and line control systems Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, control panel design documents, PLC programming, or HMI development support materials Coordinate with on-site and remote project teams, vendors, contractors, and OEMs to support project execution Assist with project management activities and development of manufacturing facilities Resolve engineering change request notices and support responses to requests for information or field change requests Build technical skills through office and on-site project work with client-facing delivery teams Contribute to client and team success through clear communication, professional execution, and reliable project support What You'll Bring *Qualifications* Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, or an equivalent related ABET-certified program Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Ability to organize and execute multiple project responsibilities at the same time Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, management, clients, and vendors Willingness to travel for project requirements, including installation and start-up activities, client and company meetings, trainings, seminars, forums, and conventions *Preferred Qualifications* Junior or senior standing Internship, part-time, or full-time experience related to engineering, consulting, or programming
