Counselor Intern

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in counseling or therapy to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. The Counselor Intern will work under the supervision of licensed professionals, assisting in the delivery of therapeutic services in the home and community setting.

Responsibilities Provide direct support to clients through individual sessions. Engage with clients using evidence-based practices including psychotherapy. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving therapeutic practices and client outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Attend training sessions, workshops, and supervision meetings to enhance professional development.

Assist with quality assurance and client satisfaction. Providing support to senior management.

Experience Currently enrolled in master's program and needing to work towards practicum and internship hours.

Experience or coursework related to outpatient and inpatient care preferred. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and patient care practices is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Applicant must have a bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, special education, early childhood education, secondary education, family and consumer sciences, social work, criminal justice, sociology, rehabilitation services, and human growth and development.
