What You'll Be a Part Of
As our Design Assistant Intern, you will play a key role in bringing our designs to life through the day-to-day production process. You'll support the designers throughout the development cycle, from concept to production, and effectively communicate with vendors and team members on design details. The position also involves managing sample logistics, including ordering, organizing, and photographing samples.
Key Responsibilities
- Help in the creation and review of prototypes and samples, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards
- Support with sample fittings and patternmaking
- Help source fabrics and trims, track materials, and manage sample flow
- Support designers with inspiration and trend research
- Assist designers with product design and development across multiple categories
- Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams (Product Development, Pre-Production) to track samples, manage approvals, and ensure design intent is executed
- Overseeing production timelines and actively monitoring PO progress
- Maintaining consistent communication with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and compliance
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or a related field
- Basic understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and trims
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Illustrator
- Ability to organize, prioritize and reorder workload in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A motivated problem solver that is highly organized and detail-oriented
