Design Paid Costume Designer: Murder on the Orient Express , Yale Dramat Spring Mainstage 2027 Yale Dramatic Association New Haven, CT US 10/25/2026

The Yale Dramatic Association is looking for a Costume Designer for our Spring Mainstage production of Murder on the Orient Express by Ken Ludwig, directed by Christopher Campbell! Christopher Campbell is a director, choreographer, and educator who most recently served as the Resident Director for the First National Tour of MJ. Select performance credits include: Hamilton (National Tour and Australia) and MJ: The Musical (Broadway).

Welcome aboard the Orient Express. This is a world of elegance, artifice, and intrigue. Beneath the luxury and polished manners lies a story about justice and revenge. Our style lives in the tension between sophistication and absurdity. Think old-world luxury through a contemporary lens. A visual world full of secrets.

All cast members, crew heads, and technical team members will be Yale Undergrad students. The Costume Designer will receive a stipend of $2800. Please fill out this application form by November 6th at 5 pm to be considered for the position. Interviews will be held the weeks of Nov. 9th and 16th.

Here is some helpful information:

• There will be 4 shows from April 8th - 10th in the University Theatre, part of the David Geffen School of Drama (a 640-seat, proscenium theatre)
• In-person attendance on Yale University’s Campus (New Haven, CT) is expected from the start of our residency through opening night (March 27th - 8th). A housing stipend up to $1500 and a travel stipend up to $250 will be provided.
