Responsibilities
- Assists the design team in the development of designs by refining complex technical shop drawings.
- Attends team meetings to coordinate design requirements, options, and ideas for building the project.
- Assists with revising designs and plans to comply with modified specifications made due to design intent changes, review comments, and construction, eventually resulting in as-built drawings.
- Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
- Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
- Values and models, the solution provider, and profitability culture.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and present ideas and content.
- Some knowledge and/or interest in the construction process and various components involved at each stage of construction.
- Any experience using the following: AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Rhino, Revit, and/or similar software.
- Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable systems.
- Some knowledge of technical drawings, constructability, 3D modeling, and/or BIM coordination.
- Ability to learn how to apply design, architectural, and/or engineering knowledge and practices efficiently and with assistance.
- Demonstrates a high level of critical thinking and sound decision-making skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August
- Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
