TITLE: DCS Editorial/Production Intern
DEPT. NAME: Digital Creature Shop
LOCATION: Hollywood
Who you are:
- A junior or senior majoring in film/video production
- Proven fluency in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro)
- Experience as a crew member on multiple student film sets.
- The position requires some manual labor (moving and setting up equipment)
- Reliable team member with a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Competence in one (or more) of the following areas is a plus: production audio, DIT management, lighting, basic camera operation
- Familiarity with animation workflows, Maya and/or Unreal Engine is a plus
JHC's DCS Production Internship is open to college students who are currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university. Candidates must be available a minimum of 16 hours per week (days and hours to be determined).
Applications from students majoring in film & video production are encouraged to apply.
What you will do:
- Take on editing responsibilities for Henson social media and web videos. This includes ingesting & organizing audio and camera files, editing audio and video in Adobe Premiere Pro, and exporting for social media and web platforms.
- Be a key production resource for productions in the DCS "mini-studio". This is a space that we use to produce social media content and other small projects. You will assist users with camera operation, audio recording, file management, and possibly video editing.
- Production assistant for the DCS department: move, set up, and strike computers, cables, set elements as needed
- Assist with organization and inventory management of DCS equipment
College-Credit
- This internship is an unpaid position open to all current students who will receive school credit for the internship.
- All candidates must get prior approval from their school/academic advisor confirming that they will receive school credit for the internship.
- School credit confirmation must be presented to JHC prior to beginning an internship.
