This position will assist with engineering assignments and maintaining project documentation.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing assignments in engineering and verifying field computation books and plan quantity items.
• Assist with creating and maintaining project documentation and logs.
• Assist in developing Work Orders and Supplemental Agreements.
• Assist with coordination and processing of monthly estimates to contractors.

The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

• engineering terminology, principles, and practices
• using computer programs such as Word, Excel, and other mainframe programs

Ability to:

• communicate technical information effectively and solve problems
• establish and maintain effective working relationships
• use engineering, drafting, architectural, or surveying tools, equipment and/or instruments

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide identification supporting citizenship or authority to work for the duration of program participation.
• Participants are required to comply with all statutes and rules and the Department’s policies, procedures, regulations, and Code of Ethics.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: You will be required to provide your Social Security Number to conduct required verifications. Male applicants born on or after October 1, 1962, will not be eligible for hire or promotion in the Career Service, or appointment in the Selected Exempt Service (SES) or Senior Management Service (SMS), unless they are registered with the Selective Service System (SSS) before their 26th birthday, or have a Letter of Registration Exemption from the SSS.
