Editorial Fellow

As an Editorial Fellow, you will lead a team of 3-5 interns and volunteers. Throughout the semester, you will work with your team to plan, produce and publish new stories and/or podcasts. During Tuesday's story lab, you will have opportunities to brainstorm stories, conduct interviews and research, mentor your team and assist them as they produce original journalism for our online readers and podcast listeners. You should have a bachelor's or graduate degree in journalism, communications or a related field.

SPEL Program Details

We recruit for our online Storytelling Program for Experiential Learning (SPEL) program three times a year (*spring, summer and fall*). The 2026 fall semester will run from September 22 to December 1, 2026. SPEL meets remotely every Tuesday for professional development trainings and collaborative story lab time. To be considered, you must be available for these weekly Zoom meetings. Currently, SPEL has the following storytelling teams: Arts & Humanities and Society & Culture and a Copy Editing team.
