Editorial Intern
*Green Living* magazine is looking for energetic and positive editorial interns. This is a great opportunity to get published and break into the green media market! While the position is unpaid, it can count towards school credit and interns will walk away with bylines, a well-rounded understanding of pitching stories, an expanded network of contacts within both local and national media, and the opportunity to see how a print magazine (and it's accompanying website) are managed on a day-to-day basis. The Job:
- Work directly with the Assistant Editor and Editor-in-Chief on both print and digital content
- Gather content for beats in the magazine
- Write feature articles to be published in the magazine and online
- Write blogs and blurbs for social media and online
- Pitch story ideas and interview sources as needed
Qualifications:
- Writing and editing skills
- Research-oriented
- Must have laptop and smartphone
Position: Part-time, unpaid
