Editorial Interns

Position Overview:

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Editorial Interns to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a current student seeking college credit who’s equally passionate about dance and journalism. This opportunity will offer a detailed look at the production of print and digital magazines.

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

• Meet with editors to learn the editorial process from pitch to publish
• Prepare background research on artists, companies, trends, or relevant topics
• Contribute short-form pieces for print or web, with the opportunity to receive editorial feedback
• Upload and tag content in WordPress
• Support newsletter production
• Help to maintain editorial archive, updating website as necessary
• Conduct archival research in support of *Dance Magazine*’s upcoming 100th anniversary
• Attend editorial meetings and company events as appropriate

Writing Requirement: Applicants should include two to three writing samples, preferably articles.
