Education Internship (Spring 2027, Full Time)

Education Internship– Accepting applications for Spring 2027

Full Time (4 days/week)

Interns selected will be primarily assisting with Reef Relief’s Discover Coral Reefs School Program. This program involves in person informal marine science education in schools, and assisting with field trips.

The Education internship primary duties include:

• Environmental education for children (primarily) and adults (select basis)
• Creating and teaching classroom lessons for children in Pre K through college
• Assist in school field trips teaching children how to safely and successfully snorkel to locations such as: the Key West Marine Park, the barrier reef off of Key West, and the Dry Tortugas National Park
• Spring Term: assisting with Spring Break Coral Camp

Education Internship Secondary Duties:

• Operation of Reef Relief’s environmental center
• Assisting with fundraisers, marketing, and community events

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have a degree (or be actively seeking one) in marine science, education, or related field.
• Have a strong interest in marine/environmental science
• Able to work with kids
• Strong swimming skills
• Have a personal laptop or tablet to create educational material
• Familiar with PowerPoint and Canva
