Educational Program Liaison

Overview

• The Educational Program Liaison will assist the Conservatory Director and staff with details relating to successfully organizing the Summer Musical Theater program as well as handling details in relation to all educational priorities that occur during the program. The intern will assist with programming educational theatrical activities & classes, maintaining educational classroom environments and assistants to the executive staff. A successful intern will gain an understanding and experience with all aspects of a musical theater conservatory. They will have hands-on opportunities to work and deal with managing large groups of students.
• The successful intern will gain high-level experience in non-profit development and management. This position is well-suited to the student interested in going into arts administration, fundraising, sales, marketing and foundation or government relations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare and organize rosters and educational materials
• Create and maintain appropriate classroom related materials
• Provide assistance to the Conservatory Director and staff as assigned
• Mentor PMT Conservatory program students

Qualifications

• Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organization skills and techniques
• Ability to work well with a team
• Prior work with children preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 20 pounds
