Role Based in Austin, Texas, the Communications Infrastructure and Datacenter End Market team is seeking an engineering student with an interest in business management to help define strategy in these critical markets. The intern will analyze market opportunities and develop market requirements and business plans that support differentiated semiconductor products and services. Essential

Responsibilities Analyze datacenter and communications infrastructure applications to identify opportunities for GF to provide differentiated products and services. Evaluate potential market opportunities, including market size, competitive landscape, target customers, and relevant industry trends. Create market requirements for opportunities in the communications infrastructure and datacenter end markets that will differentiate GF’s solutions.

Develop and maintain business plans for potential market opportunities, including revenue forecasts, product pricing, and research and development and capital investment considerations. Other

Responsibilities Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship. Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing. Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications Prior related internship or co-op experience Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong planning & organizational skills Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.

Good foundation in electronic circuits and systems; IC design or systems engineering experience in RF, power, or silicon photonics is preferred.

Experience with Excel or similar data-analysis software and demonstrated ability to conduct research, analyze market information, and communicate findings. Expected
