SUMMARY
Assist a variety of engineers (design, production, manufacturing, industrial, test, etc.) with multiple tasks involving the mechanical engineering functions at McNeilus.
YOUR IMPACT
*These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned:*
- Follow project on the assembly floor and provide technical assistance
- Evaluate new designs and identify potential improvements
- Lead cross-functional design reviews to optimize design
- Evaluate, update, and design hydraulic circuits
- Design, model, and test new mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to refine system control and performance
- Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.
- Perform or assist in the testing of complete vehicles or vehicle components
- Create and manage ECN’s (Engineering Change Notices)
- Update bill of materials in the PDM (Product Data Management) system to reflect changes
- Review test and field systems failures and determine root cause
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field for entire duration of internship
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read hydraulic symbols and schematics
- Previous internship experience or work-related experience
- Experience using SolidWorks or a similar CAD system
- Formula SAE, Baja SAE, SAE Clean Snowmobile or other similar club experience
Pay Range:
$18.00 - $37.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
